The Organic Pharmacy’s recently launched Organic Glam, prides itself (as the name might suggest) on being entirely free of artificial preservatives and fragrances, and at the same time being packed with herbal extracts and antioxidants. Their Liquid Eyeliners are mineral rich and are timeless classics. A make-up bag must haves if ever we saw one!
Beyond all hope when it comes to application? A felt-tip eyeliner is your best bet if everything else seems a little too complicated. Bourjois’ version has a really soft tip and a really long-lasting effect to match.
Okay, we know it’s not technically a liquid, but this cute duo from Benefit was too sweet to leave out! Apply with a slightly wet eyeliner brush and build up a thick line for extra drama factor.
Why stick to black when there are so many more daring colours to try out? Wallflowers might love the tawny, muted shades of this Urban Decay range but if you’re brave opt for original gold, green, silver, glitter, purple…the list is endless!
Applying an even line of liquid eyeliner is one of the hardest tricks of the trade, ranking alongside getting an even foundation coverage and finding a way to wax without pain. The gel formula of this product from Bobbi Brown makes things much easier whilst still giving a really dramatic (and transfer-resistant) line.
These metallic liners from Chantecaille are simply perfect for the impending party season. Forget subtle and go with the glittery, festive flow with this pearlescent product. N.B. They also come in black, if you must!
Our all-time fave beauty brand Shu Uemura has come up with this idiot’s guide to eye liner. The felt-tip pen is pointed like a brush, but firm enough for even the most unsteady hand to get it right.
Glitzy, tacky, trashy – these sparkly liners are filled with micro-glitters that add a certain edginess to your look. Feeling daring? Try applying over a bright pencil liner for a full-on colour look, or dab a little bit on the end of each of your lashes for an original, ‘look-at-me’ effect.
So many of us are too lazy to use brushes in make-up application (opting for sponges and the ever handy fingers instead) but if you’ve got time to spare and a steady hand, using a brush will give you a really professional line. Use the tapered end with a gel or cake eyeliner, or improvise with a little water and a black eyeshadow.
If you’re anything like us and our bulging make-up bags, you’ll always be looking for ways to, er, downsize your daily kit. Stila’s Convertible Lash & Line is an eyeliner and mascara packaged into one neat wand, and comes in black and a very au courant purple.
