The Body Shop and Women’s Aid team to combat domestic violence

If beauty with a conscience is high on your list of priorities, The Body Shop will already be amongst your established faves. But with its latest campaign, the high street giant proves it has it's finger firmly on the pulse of the beauty-buying population. Joining forces with Women’s Aid to raise awareness of domestic violence, the company's launched the ‘For You, For Me’ Shea Lip Duo. After a recent survey conducted by the chain revealed 59% of women are likely to confide in a friend if affected by violence in the home, each lip balm comes with an identical buddy, for you to give to a friend. With a retail price of £7 per duo, £4.80 from every product sold goes directly to Women’s Aid, but also benefits a community in Ghana because the Shea Butter used in the duo is sourced through the unique Community Trade programme. Now that’s what we call, doing your bit!

Daughter of Brazilian model Andrea Dellal, and heiress to a billionaire’s oil fortune, this 20-year old’s punky, individualistic style (check the semi-shaved head and nose piercing) has been earning her more column-inches and photo spreads by the day.
